The cheat was exposed when the invigilator noticed the dissimilarities between the admit card of the real candidate and ID card produced by the accused and subsequently informed the school principal. They told her that the button cell would be used as a bluetooth with the help of copper wire being connected to the earphone.The gang is suspected to have over five to six members, all hailing from Sonipat and Panipat and were inspired from Bollywood movie Munna Bhai MBBS.The police suspects that the gang might have committed similar offences in other states too, though in Delhi it is the first case which has come to light. They decided to use the technique and lure candidates following which they prepared specially designed clothes. During questioning, the police learnt that Anil and Johny gave her the mobile phone with earphone, one small button cell with copper wire. "She said that she had come in contact with one Sunny at Panipat, who further introduced her with Ajay. However, she ran out of luck and was caught red-handed," added the police officer.The arrested woman is from Sonipat in Haryana and was a part of a syndicate involved in running a racket of placing fake candidates in competitive examination on behalf of real candidates.When questioned, the woman spilled the beans and told the police about the modus operandi of the gang.
